THE SCIENCE OF DAYTIME SUPPORT

Different Roles. One Day System.
Every day, as we move through life, the body isn't simply “using energy.” It is constantly building, protecting, and maintaining balance. From protein synthesis and the maintenance of structural components throughout the body, to supporting the skin barrier and responding to oxidative stress generated through normal metabolism and everyday environmental exposures. As we age, taking care of ourselves should no longer be about asking: “Which vitamin am I missing today?” Instead, we believe a better question is: “What building blocks and nutrients does the body need to support the work it does every day?”
This is the thinking behind Glylacera™ Day System.

BUILD Give the Body Something to Build With...

GLYCINE is an amino acid that the body can produce on its own, which is why it is traditionally classified as a non-essential amino acid. But “non-essential” does not mean “unimportant.” Glycine is used across multiple biological processes, from protein synthesis to serving as a precursor for other important molecules. One of its most distinctive structural roles is in collagen.
Within the collagen molecule, glycine occurs at every third position in the polypeptide chain. Its uniquely small molecular structure is essential to the tightly packed architecture of the collagen triple helix. This is why we don't see Glycine simply as a “skin ingredient.” We see it as one of the fundamental structural building blocks the body already knows how to use.
Another reason Glycine is particularly interesting in the context of Healthy Aging is its role as one of the three amino acids required by the body to synthesize Glutathione.

Glutamate

Cysteine

Glycine

Glutathione

Glutathione is an antioxidant produced naturally by the body and plays an important role in maintaining cellular redox balance. Human studies in older adults have investigated the combination of Glycine + N-acetylcysteine (GlyNAC), which provides precursors required for glutathione synthesis.

BARRIER Skin Health Is More Than What We Put On It.

CERAMIDE are important lipids found in the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin. They play a fundamental role in the organization of the skin's lipid barrier and its ability to retain moisture. Think of skin cells as “bricks.” Ceramides form part of the “mortar” between those bricks, helping maintain the integrity of the skin barrier. Glylacera™ uses Ceramide from Rice Extract to bring another dimension to supporting skin nutrition from within.
Human randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies have investigated orally consumed ceramide-containing ingredients. One study included men and women aged 20–60 years who were concerned about dry skin. Participants received a food containing 0.8 mg of dihydroceramide or placebo for 12 weeks. Researchers reported changes in stratum corneum hydration in the group consuming the ceramide-containing food.

PROTECT Everyday Life Creates Oxidative Stress.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid, or ALA is a naturally occurring compound with two particularly interesting biological roles.
  1. Cellular Energy Metabolism - ALA functions as a cofactor for mitochondrial enzyme complexes involved in energy metabolism.
  2. Redox & Antioxidant Biology - ALA and its reduced form, Dihydrolipoic Acid (DHLA), have redox properties and have been extensively studied in the context of antioxidant biology.
Scientific reviews describe ALA/DHLA in relation to several biological mechanisms, including reactive oxygen species, metal chelation, and interactions with other antioxidant systems, including glutathione.
This is why we selected ALA not simply because it is known as an “antioxidant ingredient,” but because its biology connects two important aspects of our Day System:

The Goal Isn't One Hero Ingredient. It's a System.
The wellness world is constantly introducing us to new Superfoods, Super Ingredients, and trending nutrients. But biology doesn't work through one Hero Ingredient alone. Building structural proteins, maintaining the skin barrier, supporting energy metabolism, antioxidant defense, and fundamental cellular processes all depend on multiple nutrients working across interconnected biological systems. That's why Glylacera™ didn't begin with the question: “What's the next trending ingredient?” It began with: “What does the body need every day to build, protect, and support itself?”
Because after 40, taking care of ourselves isn't simply about “looking younger.” It's about taking care of one of life's most valuable assets—our body—so it can continue to take us wherever we want to go and allow us to keep doing the things we love.

THE SCIENCE OF NIGHT RECOVERY

8 Active Ingredients. Different Roles. One Night System.
Quality sleep does not depend on a single mechanism. Before we fall asleep, the body gradually transitions from a day filled with thinking, working, decision-making, and constant stimulation into a period of rest.
Resetra™ was designed to support the body's transition into rest through Active Ingredients with distinct yet complementary roles—from supporting relaxation and preparing the body for rest to providing essential nutrients involved in the body's everyday biological processes.
This is the thinking behind Resetra™ Night System.

CALM Quiet the Busy Mind.

Before the body can truly rest, the brain and nervous system need an opportunity to shift away from the heightened activity of the day. This is why Resetra™ goes beyond Magnesium alone, bringing together multiple Active Ingredients that have been studied in the context of relaxation, stress, and nervous-system function.
L-Theanine is an amino acid naturally found in tea leaves and has been studied for its potential role in promoting relaxation. A human EEG study found that 50 mg of L-Theanine was associated with increased alpha-frequency brain activity compared with placebo. Alpha activity is commonly associated with a state of relaxed wakefulness—a state of being calm while remaining alert, rather than sedation.
Another study in healthy adults investigated L-Theanine at 200 mg/day for four weeks and reported changes in several stress- and sleep-related measures. Importantly, these findings relate to L-Theanine at the specific doses and in the populations studied. They are not clinical findings from the finished Resetra™ formulation.
Magnesium Bisglycinate is an essential mineral involved in the normal function of the nervous system and muscles and serves as a cofactor in numerous biochemical reactions throughout the body. A randomized, placebo-controlled trial in older adults with primary insomnia reported changes in several sleep-related measures following magnesium supplementation, including sleep efficiency, sleep-onset latency, and insomnia severity.

GABA The brain doesn't only have systems that keep us alert, thinking, and responsive to the world around us. It also has mechanisms that help regulate excessive neuronal activity. One of the key neurotransmitters involved in this balance is GABA — Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid.
GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the adult central nervous system and plays an important role in maintaining the balance between excitatory and inhibitory neuronal signaling. This biological role has led researchers to investigate oral GABA in the context of stress, relaxation, and sleep.
Several small human studies have reported changes in sleep latency and certain sleep-related measures following oral GABA supplementation. However, a systematic review of human studies concluded that evidence for oral GABA in stress reduction remains limited, while evidence related to sleep remains very limited. Further research is therefore needed to better understand its effects and mechanisms.
Chamomile Extract contains a variety of naturally occurring phytochemicals, including apigenin, and has long been studied in the context of relaxation and sleep.

REST Support the Natural Transition to Rest.

Sleep is not an on-and-off switch. The body follows a Circadian Rhythm, alongside multiple physiological processes that work together to regulate when we are awake and when we are ready for rest.
Tart Cherry Extract naturally contains melatonin, along with a variety of polyphenols.
A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study involving 20 participants investigated tart cherry juice concentrate for seven days. The study reported an increase in urinary melatonin metabolite and changes in certain sleep-related measures, including total sleep time and sleep efficiency.
Inositol is involved in cell-signaling pathways and forms part of second-messenger systems associated with several neurotransmitter-signaling pathways.
Within Resetra™, we see Inositol as one component of the broader Night Nutritional System, rather than positioning it as a stand-alone sleep ingredient.

RECOVER Nighttime Is More Than Sleep.

Nighttime doesn't mean the body simply stops working. While we rest, numerous biological processes continue—from metabolism and protein turnover to immune and cellular processes.
This is why Resetra™ looks beyond sleep alone. The formula also includes essential nutrients that the body uses in fundamental biological processes every day—and every night.
Zinc Bisglycinate Zinc is an essential mineral and a cofactor for numerous enzymes throughout the body. It plays established biological roles in:
Protein Synthesis • Cell Division • Immune Function • DNA Synthesis
Vitamin B6 functions as a coenzyme in numerous metabolic processes and is involved in pathways related to the synthesis of several neurotransmitters. Within Resetra™, we don't view Vitamin B6 as a “sleep ingredient,” but as one of the supporting nutrients for normal nervous-system function and metabolism.
Magnesium role extends beyond the CALM System. It acts as a cofactor in numerous biochemical reactions throughout the body, including processes involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis. This makes Magnesium one of the nutrients that connects CALM → REST → RECOVER.

Resetra™ was not designed simply
to “make the body sleep.”
Because: More Sleep ≠ Better Recovery.
The philosophy behind our Night System is to bring together Active Ingredients with different roles within one intentional nighttime routine. Because the quality of our nights shouldn't be measured only by how quickly we fall asleep or how many hours we spend in bed. It's about respecting rest as an essential part of the way we live—so we can be ready to return to life again tomorrow.
